• A decreased risk of urinary tract infections
• A reduced risk of some sexually transmitted diseases in men

• A decreased risk of tight foreskin that cannot be retracted (Phimosis)
• A reduced risk of foreskin that retracts but cannot be pulled back easily (Paraphimosis)
• A decreased risk of recurrent infections under the foreskin (Balanitis)
• A reduced risk of chronically inflamed foreskin (Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans)
• Protection against tearing of the foreskin or pain during sexual activity.
